Instructions: How to Make Body Cream with Shea Butter

Step 1: Start by Melting the Shea Butter

Using a double boiler or a microwave-safe bowl, melt the Shea butter. Simply fill the bottom part of your double boiler with water (half-full).

Bring this to a low boil on the stovetop over medium heat, be sure not to any water enter the top container.

Place the Shea butter on top of the container and let it melt completely.

While you’re waiting for the Shea butter chunks to melt, calculate how many beeswax pellets you’ll need based on how much cream you want to make (roughly half an ounce per container).

If you don’t have a double boiler, you can use a microwave instead. Place the Shea butter in a microwave-safe bowl and melt it in short increments until it is liquid.

Step 2: Add the Coconut Oil

Once the Shea butter has cooled down slightly, add the coconut oil and stir until combined. Coconut oil is a great ingredient to add to body cream because it is moisturizing and has a pleasant smell.

The coconut oil will help solidify the cream when it’s refrigerated, so make sure you add it while the mixture is still liquid.

Coconut oil is a solid at room temperature, so it helps to thin out the consistency of the cream and makes it a bit easier to apply.

Step 3: Add the Beeswax and Vitamin E Oils

Now add the beeswax pellets and stir until they are melted. Beeswax is a natural emulsifier, which means it helps to bind the other ingredients together and prevents them from separating.

It also has therapeutic properties and helps to soothe and protect the skin.

Don’t forget to add vitamin E oil at this stage. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps to protect the skin from free radicals. It is also beneficial in repairing damaged skin tissue.

Adding these ingredients will help to give your body cream a nice texture and keep it from going bad (longer shelf life).

Step 4: Mix Everything Together

This is when the real fun begins! Get those muscles moving and start mixing everything together. Be sure to mix everything until it is fully combined.

You can use a hand mixer or a stand mixer, whichever you prefer. A stand mixer gives you a little more control over the ingredients.

But if you don’t have one, don’t worry! A hand mixer will do the trick. Just be sure to mix everything together until it is fully combined.

Step 5: Add the Essential Oils

Once everything has settled down, you can add the essential oils. Essential oils are a great way to give your product an extra boost.

They add a delicious smell and can also provide some health benefits. When adding the essential oils, start with a small amount and then add more if needed.

You don’t want to add too much, or your product may end up smelling too strong. You can use any essential oils you like, but we recommend picking an uplifting and relaxing scent.

Step 6: Store and Use (Pour the Cream into Jars)

Once the cream is ready, pour it into jars and store it in the fridge. It will keep for up to 2 weeks. You can store it in a glass jar or a squeeze bottle.

If you’re using a glass jar, be sure to store it in a cool, dark place. If you’re using a squeeze bottle, you can keep it in the fridge or at room temperature.

When using the cream, always wash your hands first. Then, take a small amount and rub it into your skin. You can use it on your face, neck, or any other area of your body.

And there you have it! Your very own body cream that is perfect for your skin type. Now all you need to do is enjoy it!
